Our artisan produced Manchego, an ewe's milk cheese from small family-run business Quesera Campo Rus is undeniably the best Manchego to come out of Spain this year, winning 'Gran Selección de Oro 2010'. These artisan cheese makers have actually been winning awards at this level since 1999 and we are very pleased to add their cheeses to our already highly regarded product list. This raw milk Manchego is set aside to age for a minimum of four months and boasts an irresistible, strong, nutty aroma. The process of producing a raw milk cheese is more complicated but the results make it all worthwhile. Traditionally Manchego is cut into wedges and served with olives, Jamón Serrano or Quince paste (Membrillo).
