The anchovies of Don Bocarte, a personal favourite of Oliver Thring, writer for The Observer Food Monthly?s ?Word of Mouth? blog, are world-renown for their quality, flavour and texture and are considered Spain?s finest. These exquisite anchovies from Cantabria are now available to buy online with Flavours of Spain. Unlike the overly salted, jarred anchovies often found in supermarkets, these anchovies have a firm, meaty texture and their taste is gentle and not over salty. Good quality tinned anchovies are definitely worth eating when enjoying on their own. Anchovies are also a natural flavour enhancer so when added to other dishes they enhance the flavour of the whole dish.
