Roasted Chestnuts
Collected by hand in Orense's wooded valleys, these Galician chestnuts are roasted over wood, hand-peeled and then added to a delicious syrup that makes for a wonderful dessert on its own or served with ice-cream or cream. A Galician liqueur such as aguardiente de uvas would go with it well.
