Turrón de Jijona (soft Turrón from Marcona almonds) approx 300g
Turrón is the most famous of Spanish sweets around Christmas time and we have sourced high and low, taking more than a year to find what we, and the critics believe to be the best. Turrón de Jijona by artisan producer Alfredo Mira is made with all natural ingredients, almonds, honey, sugar and egg white, all meticulously selected beforehand and before now only available exclusively in Santander. Magnificent in colour, it oozes the aroma of toasted almonds, is silky smooth in texture and is impeccably molded. Sublimely delicate in the mouth, clean in its almond flavour and subtle in its sweetness, this turrón is, in a word – heavenly.
