1. Who is FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD?

We are a small independent business specialising in supplying fine wines from small vineyards in the north of Spain where the quality comes first, and Artisan food from small producers made from natural, organic or eco-friendly ingredients and produced to the highest standard.

2. Is there a minimum order size?

No. You are free to buy as much or as little as you like, but a standard delivery charge of £6.50 will apply to orders under a total price of £60.00 inclusive of VAT. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and we will confirm such acceptance to you by email (the "Confirmation"). We expressly reserve the right to refuse any order made by a customer with whom we have an ongoing dispute or from anyone we suspect of making purchases on our site by fraudulent means.

3. What happens if a product is unavailable?

As our wines are produced in limited quantities and our food products caught and picked in season, and packed by hand, we are not always able to guarantee their availability at our stock. In the unlikely event that a product is unavailable when you place your order, we will contact you immediately to suggest a replacement product or offer you a refund.

4. What are the delivery charges and how long does it take?

All products ordered via email or over the phone that we have in stock will be presented at the mainland UK delivery address specified by you within our standard delivery commitment of 2 days from the date that payment for the products is received by us. All products are sent on a next-day service via courier Amtrak. Delivery is during working hours 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday unless premium services* are paid for. However we cannot always guarantee next-day delivery. Next-day delivery is based on receiving your order by 1pm on the previous day. Please note that the following delivery charges apply:

  • Orders of a total of £60.00 or more inclusive of VAT qualify for FREE delivery as long as the address is in mainland UK and the order can be delivered during working hours (9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday);
  • Orders of less than a total of £60.00 inclusive of VAT incur a delivery charge of £6.50 per address in England, Scotland or Wales during working hours (9am to 5.30pm) Monday to Friday. For deliveries to Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands, please call us;
  • *Any order to be delivered on a Saturday, or after 5.30pm Monday to Friday, incurs a cost of £15 per address.

We aim to get deliveries out as soon as possible, but wines/foods can go out of stock from time to time. If the delay is likely to be more than a few days we will contact you to advice of an estimated delivery date. If you need the wine or food by a particular date, please mention this in the delivery instructions section on our website www.flavoursofspain.co.uk when placing your order or call us on 0870 330 2879.

5. What about if no one is at home to accept the delivery?

In this event, on the first attempt the courier will leave a card stating that the delivery will automatically be reattempted on the next working day. If the item still remains undelivered, then the goods will be held at the local Amtrak depot for a further two working days for the recipient to collect at their convenience. If the goods are not collected within two working days, they will be returned to FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD and the cost of the consignment will be charged to you. Alternatively, you can authorise the courier to leave the order with another person or in another place by completing the delivery instructions in the textbox in the shopping menu.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a request is made for wine/food to be left unattended, FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD cannot be held responsible if the package goes missing or is damaged after the courier has delivered it.

6. How do I order and pay for goods?

Flavours of Spain provide a fully secure link for credit card payments we recommend that customers order this way. Otherwise, we prefer payment by bank transfer via the following options but we will also accept cheques with bank card details written on the back of the cheque.

(a) Email or fax your order to orders@flavoursofspain.co.uk advising your preferred method of payment and will contact you by phone or email to get your payment details.

(b) Bank Transfer the value of your order to our bank account. If this is your preferred method just drop us an email and we will send you account details back to you ASAP.

(c) If paying by cheque, post your order and cheque with the bank card details (sort code, account number) written on the back to: Flavours of Spain Ltd, The Old Dairy, Brewer Street, Bletchingley, Surrey RH1 4QP.

We will dispatch the package after your payment has been authorised or your cheque cleared.

7. What is the FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD's policy on breakages from deliveries?

Although the courier should advise us if there are any breakages, it's still very important that you let us know as soon as possible of any stock damage once received so we can investigate with the delivery operator and source replacement wine/food for you. PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER OF ITEMS IN THE DELIVERY YOU ARE SIGNING FOR. WE CANNOT REPLACE WINES/FOOD THAT HAVE BEEN SIGNED FOR BUT NOT ACTUALLY RECEIVED. To prevent fraudulent damage claims, we need to be made aware of damage as soon as possible so we must to be notified via e-mail or phone within 24 hours.

8. What is included in the price?

The prices quoted for any orders will be as quoted on www.flavoursofspain.co.uk and are in Pounds Sterling. VAT is included in the price (if applicable) but delivery costs (if applicable) and gift-packaging are not. All prices are subject to change.

9. What is the legal ordering age?

FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD will not sell wine to anyone under the legal drinking age of 18 years. We ask you to confirm this when you order. If you are of legal age, our products should be enjoyed and consumed only in moderation.

In accordance with UK law when you place an order with flavourasofspain.co.uk you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

10. Does FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD offer refunds?

If you receive the wrong wine/food in your order we will replace your bottle/package and reimburse you for any delivery costs you incurred. We will not refund a purchase because you didn't like the wine/food. However if you receive a damaged bottle/package or your wine is corked, please email us immediately at orders@flavoursofspain.co.uk and we will organise a refund. We may request that you return the damaged product before we send a refund so that we can make an assessment too.

11. What is FLAVOURS OF SPAIN LTD's warranty?

We warrant that any product purchased through our website is of satisfactory quality. If you have any reservations or comments about the appearance or quality of our products, you should state these on our carrier's delivery statement. Alternatively, you must notify us of any complaints from you within 24 hours of delivery. Unless we receive such a complaint from you within the period stated, you will be deemed to have accepted delivery of the products in accordance with your order. If you notice an obvious defect within the 24 hours from the date of delivery of the products, we will replace the defective product at our cost, if the product is not available we will replace it with a product of similar or better value.

12. Can I send wine/food as a gift to someone else?

Yes! When filling out the Checkout form you have the option to include a different delivery address - simply fill this in. We will email you to confirm that the wine/food has been sent to the third party. If you would like us to include a card, simply fill in the message you want on the delivery instructions.

When ordering wines/food as a gift, please be sure to give us all the details such as recipient's name, contact phone number, and any message you would like to include. We need a contact number to ensure that someone can receive the gift, or will authorise the gift to be left securely - without a contact number, we may have to charge you for re-delivery if the couriers are unable to deliver after 2 attempts - this charge would be £15
