Founded in 2006 by Spanish-English team Ana Caballero and Teresa Holmes, Flavours of Spain has grown in reputation as suppliers of some of the country's finest artisan produce and limited-production wines, specialising in Galicia and the north of the country.
Our customers respect and value our first-class knowledge and understanding of Spain - its culture, people and gastronomy. Indeed, Ana was immersed in the world of chefs, sommeliers and farmers from a young age and spent many hours with local friends of the Caballero family experiencing the fine food and wines her native Spain has to offer.
The ethos of the company is simple and still stands true today. All our products are truly authentic and made using only the highest quality, seasonal ingredients. We believe we are the only UK supplier of Spanish products that places such a strong emphasis on those produced by small, family-run businesses using traditional methods, sustainable and organic farming and fully traceable ingredients. Not content with taking the common route of approaching the country's largest manufacturers, we actively seek small artisan producers with quality rather than quantity being at the essence of our sourcing policy and with this in mind, our current client list boasts some of the UK's best chefs and restaurants.
Our dedicated consumer website is easy to navigate and contains a raft of information regarding our products and their origin, whilst our wholesale delivery service is tailored to meet the needs of chefs.
Innovation is also at the core of everything we do - we are passionately committed to bringing new and exciting products to the UK retail and trade markets. Galicia and Northern Spain are home to many undiscovered artisan goods that deliver unusual ingredients, different textures and interesting flavours. Indeed, many of these products are available exclusively in the UK through Flavours of Spain, enabling us to offer genuinely unrivalled gourmet produce of uncompromising quality and origin.
Leading the way in our innovative portfolio is Rincón de la Subbética, the most awarded extra-virgin olive oil in Spain; our extensive range of hand-harvested seaweeds (Porto Muiños) and gourmet fish and seafood including monkfish liver, razor clams and sea urchin roe with wakame; limited-production and biodynamic wines; Jamon Iberico Bellota, Galician charcuterie and exceptional chocolates from world-renowned Spanish chocolatier and former pastry chef of El Bulli restaurant, Oriol Balaguer.

We visit Spain many times a year, either for product sourcing, or visiting our producers, on some occasions meeting new ones. We love talking about Spanish food and wine also, which is why you'll find us at various food festivals throughout the year, chatting away with someone about our producers, or how easy and versatile a particular seaweed is, or why our organic olive oil Rincón de la Subbética is the most awarded in Spain - which actually needs very little explanation once it's tasted!
Our bespoke gifts and hampers are always successful and we're always happy to include a personal message to make that gift even more special. We will be launching a new range of bespoke hampers for the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC, Birmingham 09 - so watch this space.
You can find Flavours of Spain most Saturdays at Borough Market where you can taste and buy from a selection of our gourmet goodies, including our extremely tasty, Chorizos from Galicia, following their successful launch at The Real Food Festival in May 09.
In April 09 Flavours of Spain enjoyed a fantastic evening at the S.Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants Ceremony and were very proud to have been one of only five specialist food suppliers to be invited to participate and present their products.
